EMMA JANE WY173 is the largest Yorkshire coble ever built by the late Tony Goodall at his Sandsend yard in Whitby. The distinctive high-bowed, flat-bottomed, clinker-built East Coast beach boats hark back to Viking days.
Owned by Peter Screeton of Bridlington EMMA JANE hunted shellfish in the North Sea for thirty years until sold in 2008. In 2016 she was transported from Scarborough by road to the Douglas Boatyard at Hesketh Bank in Lancashire and stripped down in workshops for a major overhaul, interrupted recently by the changing plans of her former owner.
She is now offered for a quick sale as she lies, either for completion at the yard or road transport to another location.
